Meet the Cartell CW-SYS Wireless Driveway System, a dual-purpose driveway alarm and automatic gate free exit system built for reliable vehicle detection. It creates a proactive safety zone at your entrance so you get an alert before a vehicle reaches your home or ranch, and it triggers a hands-free exit on any powered gate operator that is not solar.
CW-SYS uses magnetometer technology with adjustable sensitivity. It detects moving steel, not motion, heat, or pressure, which helps reduce nuisance alerts in real-world driveway conditions.
You get a fail-safe wireless link through a redundant two-way radio at 915 MHz using LoRa protocol. Cartell testing lists up to 2,500 feet line of sight above ground and up to 1,000 feet line of sight when installed flush with the ground. Range depends on installation and obstructions.
Install time stays fast. Many installs finish in under 1 hour and trenching is not required. You can place the sensor above ground on an immovable object, in the ground, or in the driveway. You can also pair multiple sensors with multiple integrators for wide driveways and longer approaches.
Built for harsh conditions, the sensor puck is IP68 rated with a listed strength rating of 9.39 ton-force and an operating temperature range from -25°F to 140°F. Battery life is estimated at 1 to 3 years using two CR123A batteries.
